Possible plug in to make food heal?

Refilling the hunger bar is nice and all in regular survival, but not being able to heal in pvp situations is a killer. No doubt someone has made a plug in for it somewhere, just thought id mention it if its even possible.

I support this, Or make some food heath kits? or is the mages have to be the medics?

This is exactly what i'll be doing once bukkit becomes stable. 1.8 is probably my least favourite update next the wolves...
